June 9, 2008: Tyfone, a global provider of mobile financial services infrastructure and fully-integrated mobile payments capabilities, today announced BT INS, Inc., (BT INS) an independent global network consulting and security services provider, has completed a rigorous security vulnerability assessment of Tyfone’s mobile financial services application. The audit results resoundingly confirmed the security and integrity of Tyfone’s architecture and mobile applications.

BT INS’s Ethical Hacking Center of Excellence (EHCOE) consultants conducted the comprehensive vulnerability assessment of Tyfone’s platform using documented, proprietary and proven processes and methodologies. The audit objective was to obtain a trusted third-party review and validation of the information and application security levels inherent in Tyfone’s mobile financial services (MFS) platform.

The comprehensive security audit evaluated and tested vulnerabilities in terms of their potential to result in a compromise or unauthorized access of the network, system, application or information. 

BT tested to determine the extent to which an attacker can view, alter, or delete information without proper authorization. BT also attempted to circumvent assigned user access rights and gain access to functionality not otherwise authorized for access.

On March 12, 2008 BT INS completed its review and testing of Tyfone’s mobile financial services software platform and confirmed that there are no material risk vulnerabilities.
